Credit: This is my altertation of a build done by Verkty!
Why golden enemies?: AFAIK, the drops from golden enemies have 20% extra quality. By using the jester's wheel ability and rolling 3 goblins, you can gild a handful of enemies yourself. This is harder but gives you the chance of better drops.
My stats are in the 6k-7k range and it runs smoothly. If you're rolling golds you probably can't go lower than that.
The heroes I bring are 1: jester (rolling golds) OR djinn/imp summoner (AFK), 2: TB monk, 3: warden, 4: app/hunt guardian summoner on clouds+wisps
I start on W 21 and save the middle chest for next wave for the drops.
THE BUILD
General: 5 DU buff beam, pylon doesn't need to fit on it.
HINT 1: Clouds facing directions of blue arrows.
HINT 2: Seed bomb facing direction of green arrow. Place golem last.
HINT 3: Minion wall helps with golden ogres. Stack mages. Mages are prone to getting exploded by golden ogres, you can keep an eye on them but should be fine w/o them.
HINT 4: How I set up my reflec beams relative to the crystal (represented by the HINT 4 marker). All 1 DU except the rightmost one, which I place across the two flower pots.
HINT 5: I place my TB on top of the build at point 1 and aim at the right corner of the fountain at HINT 5. It's what I've found to be most consistent. Either start your TB at ~600 enemies, or refresh it around ~1,600 enemies so it lasts till the end.
With the rest of your mana upgrade your pylon as much as you can. Just a precaution, because I had issues with the side crystals at first and that fixed it.
THE STRATEGY
Again, either start your TB at ~600 enemies, or refresh it around ~1,600 enemies so it lasts till the end. The djinn rush is rough and TB is necessary.
If AFKing, you can really just chill. I have a djinn/imp pet summoner as a precaution but you'll probably be fine with another guardian sum, or even your hermit instead.
If rolling golds, I pretty much just do it whenever the ability comes back up. I would NOT gild the djinn rush. If you do, you may need to spam repair to survive. TB needs to be running though or things will get rough. If I'm refreshing my TB I make sure there's no golden enemies while the ability is down.
>Disclaimer: I am NOT an expert of how to execute this strategy. There might be better timings, but I do this and it doesn't kill me, so it's fine in my book.
Good luck! If you run this and have feedback, you're welcome to comment :)
