Description:

Updated 02/01/2026 due to fine tuning from additional usage, seeing new mini-ogre pathing, and the recent mortar tower buff.

This is my "go to" AFK build due to the ease of building and silliness of it all. Only buff beams need to be upgraded with my stats.

Only 3 Summoners were used on the tower stacks, but the build didn't have any issues handling a 4th summoner just AFKing in its phase shift state.

The Summoners all have the App/Huntress guardian pets combo equipped.

Hint 1

  • Make sure that the mortars are positioned north enough on the buff beam to get a clear angle without hitting the wall.
  • The mortars should cover all angles pointed eastward in case any spiders jump into a blind spot.
  • The auras are just north of the mortars.
    • This allows the mortars to get buffed by the guardian pets instead of the auras.

Hint 2

  • Place a Summoner on this mortar
    • If everything is placed correctly, it should be buffing all of the Hint 1 tower stack as well.
  • This mortar is positioned so that it covers the large open area point for the spiders that drop in while also covering the north corridor that has mobs coming from the northwest spawn point.
    • The spiders can spawn in all sorts of points in that area. Sometimes they will spawn south and a little west of the stack, so it is important to make sure it is covering the area.

Hint 3

  • Place a Summoner here.
  • The Ensnare aura is sized down one and placed against the crystal directly south of it.
  • The Strength Drain aura is placed against the building.
  • 5 of the mortars should be angled so that it covers the south stairs and the west corridor.
  • 1 mortar is angled so that it covers the west corridor while covering a blindspot in case a spider jumps to the north side of the stack.

Hint 4

  • Place a Summoner here.
  • The Ensnare aura is sized down twice and placed a bit more to the southwest of the Strength Drain aura to avoid slowing down the nearest east spawn, while also still protecting the crystal from the swimmers.
  • 5 mortars should be angled to cover the south corridor and the west spawn point.
  • 1 mortar is angled to only cover the spiders and swimmers that spawn east.
    • This mortar should be angled AWAY from the south corridor.

Oh my Goodness this is brilliant! Like, so mad I didn't think of it first, it totally rocks this map! I am already thinking of some modifications, but the core design here, is just too good.

Haha thanks. I always like getting some ridiculous overexaggerated build working, even if it isn't optimal (I tried doing a build on top of the tree at Akatiti, but gave up when the week was almost up). Plus the less builders, the happier I am. I was trying to get a SAM-only build going, but failed hard due to the mostly single target nature of them. So I gave up and went with the mortars. I just wish mortars were more accurate at longer ranges and shooting at higher elevations, then I'd use them more often. Also bowling balls are hilarious on this map. If they could target air, I'd use just them due to the sheer ridiculousness of them.
